Chennai – Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG (“Daimler Truck”), has announced the appointment of Mr. Alexander Schoen as Chief Financial Officer, effective March 1, 2024.
In his new capacity, Mr. Schoen will oversee DICV’s financial strategies, bolster operational efficiencies, and facilitate the company’s growth initiatives. His role will be instrumental in cultivating strategic alliances, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring DICV’s financial resilience in a competitive market landscape.
Mr. Satyakam Arya, Managing Director & CEO, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, expressed his enthusiasm about Mr. Schoen’s appointment, highlighting his extensive experience within Daimler Truck’s global network, strong leadership in financial operations, and forward-thinking approach to growth. Mr. Arya also commended the invaluable contributions of the former CFO, Mr. Manish Thakore, and wished him success in his new role at Daimler Truck Financial Services North America.
Bringing a wealth of expertise in finance and strategic planning, Mr. Alexander Schoen joins DICV after holding various leadership positions within Daimler Truck since 1999. With a proven track record in financial management and project leadership, his experience spans diverse roles, including project controlling in Kassel, financial operations leadership in Tokyo and Gaggenau, and notably serving as CFO of Daimler Truck Mexico.
Expressing his excitement about the new role, Mr. Schoen emphasized his eagerness to contribute to DICV’s financial excellence, create value for stakeholders, and support the company’s pursuit of growth and sustainability within the dynamic Indian Commercial Vehicles industry.
Mr. Schoen succeeds Mr. Manish Thakore, who has transitioned to the role of Director of Special Projects at Daimler Truck Financial Services North America.
