On October 20, 2023, in India, Lamborghini India is pleased to announce the delivery of the first Huracán Sterrato in the country. The Sterrato represents a remarkable super sports car that’s engineered for an exceptional driving experience, even when venturing off the paved road onto loose or dirt surfaces. This model redefines the very essence of sportiness, embodying Lamborghini’s core values of being bold, genuine, and surprising.
The Huracán Sterrato is designed to deliver outstanding driving dynamics, ensuring precise control in various environments, ranging from highways to unpaved roads. In comparison to the Huracán EVO, the Sterrato features an enhanced version of the LDVI (Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics) system, with specific STRADA and SPORT settings, along with the introduction of the RALLY mode for low-traction conditions, marking its first appearance in the Huracán line.
Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India, commented, “Since its introduction in December 2022, the Sterrato has ignited a wave of excitement in India. The Huracán Sterrato seamlessly combines the exhilaration of a super sports car with the sheer joy of driving a rally car. We are delighted to see Indian customers embracing the distinctive qualities that Sterrato brings to the Huracán family.”
The Huracán Sterrato is equipped with a 5.2-liter V10 engine that delivers a maximum power output of 610CV and 560Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. It features a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and electronically controlled all-wheel drive with a rear mechanical self-locking differential. Engineered for optimal performance on unpaved and sandy surfaces, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 260 km/h.
The exterior design reflects the adventurous spirit of the Sterrato from the first glance. It boasts a 44mm increase in ground clearance compared to the Huracán EVO, providing greater suspension travel, along with a 30mm front and 34mm rear track width increase. Additionally, the car’s body is protected by aluminum front underbody protection, reinforced sills, a rear diffuser, and robust wheel arches, emphasizing its muscular appearance. The classic air intake located on the rear hood not only enhances the model’s sporty character but also ensures the engine receives clean air when navigating dusty tracks.
The interior of the Huracán Sterrato features exclusive Alcantara Verde Sterrato upholstery, reflecting the “feel like a pilot” philosophy traditionally associated with the Huracán line. This philosophy places the driver at the center of the passenger compartment for an ultimate driving experience and full control of all the car’s features. The Human Machine Interface (HMI) incorporates new graphics and special driving features, including a digital inclinometer with pitch and roll indicators, a compass, geographic coordinate indicator, and steering angle indicator.
Moreover, the new Huracán Sterrato offers nearly limitless customization options for its appearance. Thanks to the Lamborghini Ad Personam program, customers can choose from 350 external colors and over 60 colors for leather and Alcantara interiors.
