Bookings for the MG Comet EV can now be made on the MG Motor India website and at MG Motor Dealerships starting at 12 noon, with an initial deposit of Rs. 11,000/-. Deliveries will commence in phased batches from May. The vehicle comes with an astonishing 8-year or 1,20,000 km battery warranty. Additionally, customers have access to over 80 customization options for extended vehicle warranty and service packages, starting at Rs. 5,000/-.
Gurugram, May 15, 2023: MG Motor India, a renowned British automotive brand with a remarkable 99-year-old heritage, is thrilled to announce the opening of bookings for the MG Comet EV – a Smart EV designed for urban mobility. Customers can now conveniently book the Comet EV online through the MG Motor India website (https://www.mgmotor.co.in/) or at MG Dealerships for just Rs. 11,000/-. To ensure complete transparency throughout the delivery process, MG has introduced an industry-first feature called ‘Track and Trace’ on the ‘MyMG’ app. This feature enables customers to track the status of their car bookings right from their smartphones.
Mr. Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director of MG Motor India, commented on the MG Comet EV booking announcement, stating, “MG Comet EV has been meticulously developed to meet the specific needs of urban consumers in India. With the industry-first Track and Trace feature, we aim to eliminate the constant struggle of our customers in tracking their car bookings. Soon, customers will be able to experience their very own MG Comet.”
The Comet EV will be offered at a special introductory price, starting at Rs. 7.98 lakh for the Pace variant, while the Play and Plush variants will be priced at Rs. 9.28 lakh and Rs. 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. This offer will be limited to the first 5,000 bookings. Phased delivery of the Comet will commence from May.
The Comet EV comes with an exclusive MG e-Shield ownership package that covers repair and service costs. The package includes:
- 3 years or 1 lakh km warranty
- 3 years of Roadside Assistance (RSA)
- 3 free labor services for the first 3 scheduled maintenance visits
The vehicle is equipped with a 17.3 kWh Li-ion battery with an IP67 rating and Prismatic Cells, backed by an 8-year or 1,20,000 km warranty. Furthermore, MG Comet EV owners can choose from a wide selection of over 80 meticulously designed extended warranty and service packages, starting at just Rs. 5,000.
MG also offers an optional buy-back program that enables customers to easily upgrade to their next MG vehicle. With this special package, customers are assured a buyback value of 60% of the original ex-showroom price at the end of 3 years.
Each variant of the Comet EV offers a range of convenient service options, including DIY via the My MG App, remote assistance through Service on Call, service at home, and even pick-up/drop service for those rare instances when the car needs to be taken to the workshop.
