Kia India Reports Impressive 17.19% Growth with 22,523 Units Sold in August 2024
- The Sonet emerged as the top seller in Kia’s lineup with 10,073 units sold.
New Delhi, 1st September 2024: Kia India, a leading premium car manufacturer, continues to expand its footprint in the Indian automotive market with 22,523 units sold domestically in August 2024. This represents a significant 17.19% Year-On-Year increase compared to the 19,219 units sold in the same month last year.
The new Sonet has been a major contributor to this growth, achieving 10,073 units in sales. It was followed by Kia’s flagship model, the Seltos, which sold 6,536 units. The Carens and the EV6 also performed well, with sales of 5,881 and 33 units, respectively.
On the international front, Kia’s “Make In India” vehicles continue to be in high demand, with the company exporting 2,604 units in August 2024.

Recently, Kia India announced the upcoming launch of two global models, the World Car of the Year EV9 and the new Carnival, in India. The brand has also reached the milestone of 1 million units sold within 59 months of operations in India, setting benchmarks for active safety, design, and innovative features among its competitors.
